is singing now thanksgiving 1985 on my record player I keep playing one track over & over—A Star Is Born I'm going to get up from this here poem! and go put it on now! Here it is it's pretty love soft as an easy chair— oh fuck her voice is beautiful like a rose... under the april snow she was certain love would grow I never really liked her until a week ago and I'm 43 Streisand I'm going to put the needle back at the start now I used to do that with Charles Ives' "Unanswered Questions" played it over and over writing many dozens of poems to it I'm a lucky man this thanksgiving Thank you lord for allowing me to keep on writing thank you Lord
